I believe The Heritage Foundation has been poised to pounce for decades, waiting for the right moment. Trump, quite literally, is just the messenger. I imagine he’s so absorbed in his own "journey" that he doesn’t even realize he’s merely a tool in their arsenal.

1. It's not his agenda as much as it is the Republican Party's agenda. It predates Trump. He just rode it to power, twice.
